USALI Student Fellows

The U.S.-Asia Law Institute offers one currently enrolled NYU Law student the opportunity to work with the Asian American Scholars Forum, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, to advance and protect the rights of Asian Americans and immigrants through policy and legal analysis and research in the intersections of national security, civil rights, and racial justice. Details can be found here. Application is now open until May 25, 2024. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis so please apply as early as possible.


Volunteers

The U.S.-Asia Law Institute engages volunteers from time to time to help with researching and writing materials for our website. We will post openings for new volunteers as they arise.   


Summer Internships in East Asia

Many students at NYU School of Law are interested in working at public interest legal organizations. You should know that there are many public interest legal organizations in East Asia, and some are open to accepting summer interns from US law schools. Visiting Scholars Program

The U.S.-Asia Law Institute hosts a small number of outstanding scholars each year. Our visiting scholars include judges, prosecutors, lawyers, legal journalists, and legislators, as well as academics.  The program for visiting scholars extends courtesy titles and privileges to scholars of distinction who visit New York University in order to engage in research, scholarship, and scholarly and cultural interaction with New York University’s faculty and students.
